Haldwani, Uttarakhand: India’s International Movement to Unite Nations (I.I.M.U.N.) is set to host the I.I.M.U.N. Haldwani Conference 2026 from 17th to 19th July 2026 at Aurum The Global School, Haldwani, bringing together young delegates from schools across Uttarakhand and other parts of India for three days of thought-provoking discussions, leadership development, and diplomacy.
Founded by Rishabh Shah in 2011, I.I.M.U.N. has grown into one of the world’s largest youth-led movements, conducting conferences across 275 cities in 40 countries. The organization aims to nurture informed, empathetic, and globally aware young citizens while promoting the idea of India as a force that unites nations through dialogue and understanding.
The Haldwani Conference will feature a diverse range of committees where students will deliberate on issues of both national and global significance. Agendas include discussions on the progress towards ‘Viksit Bharat’, sustainable architecture for Uttarakhand’s hill stations, regulating riverbed mining in the Himalayan foothills, sovereign debt and sustainable financing, youth addiction to electronic nicotine delivery systems, safeguarding press freedom, revisiting the Geneva Convention, and regulating politically and socially sensitive films in India. Students will also participate in the Press and Media, International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), Marvel Committee, and IPL Mega Auction committees, offering immersive simulations and unique learning experiences.
The conference will commence with its Opening Ceremony on 17th July from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by two days of committee sessions, networking opportunities, and interactive activities before concluding with the Closing Ceremony on 19th July.
Known for encouraging critical thinking, public speaking, negotiation, and leadership, I.I.M.U.N. conferences provide students with a platform to understand contemporary issues while learning the importance of dialogue, collaboration, and informed decision-making.
With participation expected from winners of I.I.M.U.N.’s city chapter conferences and students from schools across the region, the Haldwani Conference promises to be a significant youth leadership event, inspiring the next generation to become responsible citizens capable of contributing meaningfully to society.
